New project in the field of water management

Since April 2021, PATRIC has been participating in the solution of the “Dynamic Model of Water Infrastructure Operation” project.

The project aims to develop a new digital system for monitoring and operating water infrastructure that meets the current requirements for running water infrastructure. This will ensure the transition from the current static model to a dynamic fully digitised model with an emphasis on efficient drinking water distribution. The dynamic model will be based on the collection of data from suitably located sensors. Transmission of data to cloud data storage will be secured by using IoT technologies, processing of data will be solved by using advanced algorithms. The resulting system will be designed to run simulation of different operating modes, for the needs of optimising water distribution processes, investment costs and for further conceptual development of the water infrastructure.

The principal applicant of the project is D-PLUS Projektová a inženýrská JSC, participating organizations, in addition to PATRIC, are Czech Technical University in Prague, Brno University of Technology, Sweco Hydroprojekt JSC, Prague Water Supply and Sewerage JSC and the International Security Institute. The results of the project should be available at the end of 2023 according to the planned schedule.

This project is financed from the state budget by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Industry and Trade under the TREND Programme.
