We have successfully completed our research project “Dynamic model of operating the water management infrastructure”. The aim of the project was to develop a new digital system for monitoring and operating water infrastructure that meets the current requirements for running water infrastructure. This now ensures the transition from the current static model to a dynamic fully digitised model with an emphasis on efficient drinking water distribution. The dynamic model is based on the collection of data from suitably located sensors. Transmission of data to cloud data storage is secured by using IoT technologies, solution for data processing using advanced algorithms was also found. The resulting system was designed to run simulation of different operating modes, for the needs of optimising water distribution processes, investment costs and for further conceptual development of the water infrastructure.
