The objective of the project is to increase road safety and reduce the risk of traffic accidents by leveraging extended data from vehicle ADAS systems and combining them with data from the Traffic Accident Portal to predict accident-prone locations using machine learning algorithms. Enhanced operational data will enable more accurate identification of hazardous locations and road segments, thereby contributing to more effective driver education, better identification of the causes of (potential) accidents, and more targeted allocation of funds for road infrastructure improvements and repairs.
