Since June 2021, PATRIC has been participating in the solution of the “Digital Twin for Transportation – Evropska street” project.
The aim of the project is to make more efficient use of multimodal transport information for the purpose of verifying alternative scenarios and new technologies. A digital model of the real transport environment using current traffic data will be created. At the same time, a new set of methods and algorithms for automated preprocessing and fusion of measured traffic and IoT data will be created and new procedures for continuous calibration of simulation models will be established. The result will be demonstrated on the example of Evropska street in Prague. The resulting simulation-modeling framework will also be the basis for the future development of new services and algorithms.
The principal applicant of the project is Czech Technical University in Prague, participating organizations, in addition to PATRIC, are Brno University of Technology, SmartPlan Ltd. and Technical Road Administration Prague JSC. The results of the project should be available in the middle of 2024 according to the planned schedule.
This project is financed from the state budget by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Transport under the TRANSPORT 2020+ Programme.
