The main objective of the project is - by implementing new knowledge from the field of informatics, advanced technologies and Industry 4.0 principles - to ensure efficient wastewater treatment (WWTP), with the possibility of real-time optimization based on simulations of technological measures in the digital twin of the WWTP. Another objective is the integration of a new principle of documentation management and its management by means of a digital twin, which, thanks to a database system in object architecture, will enable the automation of operational tasks, efficient management of operational data and continuous evaluation of defined performance indicators (electricity consumption, effluent quality, carbon footprint, etc.).
